May I Use What I Have Wisely Before I Ask For More Or Different

Reduce consumption. Re-use more. Instead of wishing for more money, spend less. Take responsibility for my actions instead of trying to justify or deny them with more stuff.

May I use everything I have wisely before I ask for more or different.

Live simply, respectfully, and sustainably.

Wishing for more while mismanaging what I have is childish and delusional. It’s just common sense that, if I mismanage what I already have, I will certainly mismanage more.

It is an outright lie I tell myself that if I had more, I would be okay. Truth is, if I had more, I would still be exactly the same person with the same mismanagement issues as when I had less.

The problem is not that I don’t have enough. In reality, I actually need very little.

I grow up when I learn to respectfully and sustainably manage and care for what I already have.

Ditch the attitude of arrogant entitlement.

When the last tree has been cut down,
When the last fish has been caught,
Only then will you find
That money cannot be eaten.

Reduce consumption. Stop buying what I don’t need.

Re-use more. Stop throwing everything away.

Instead of wishing for more money, spend less.

Take responsibility for my actions instead of trying to justify or deny them with more stuff.

Enjoy what is around me, but recognize that it does not make me who I am. It does not fix me. It doesn’t create my worth. (In fact, disrespecting the true nature of things and using them for my own gain speaks directly to my low self-worth.)

I am responsible for how I show up to the world around me. I choose to act entitled or grateful. Always, I choose.

When I believe that I am entitled, that is bondage to my delusion. When I act from a place of respect, gratitude, compassion, and understanding, that is freedom.

Deep peace.
